Ok guys, Jiang Maan posting here. Gonna mention 1 or 2 things here.

Firstly, Happy New Year to all of you. Welcome to year 2010! Lets walk down this year as a class, forgetting our grudges for one another ok? Cos its gonna to be a difficult year for us and we nid to work together to get through it. Help one another whenever they nid help and u might gain some new knowledge in return too(:

Secondly, sch will re-open on the fourth of Jan in case u dunno. Mdm Tay already sent the email to us but i think i will post it here. We will be having chem lesson on Monday from 2:20pm to 3:30pm. Pls complete all the revision paper as we will be checking ans. Those whose have orientation end after 2:20pm pls give yr names to Mdm Tay. If onli a small number of people are missing from class, she will brief us on SPA and start a new chpt on the Periodic Table.

Lastly, work hard and do yr best in the upcoming O levels!!!!

Regarding the class gathering, it will be in late Dec & venue is to be confirmed. The Class Committee is currently planning the event such that everyone is involved & we will try to avoid hiccups, unlike our previous gathering in June.

So meanwhile what I can say for now is, read your fairy tales! :D

Common Test 2 just ended so now's time to slack a bit but don't forget to do your work:] It's fine to like maybe Dota or Audi (dunno what kindda games your play) everyday, but do remember to hand up your homework. Reminder here: PLS HAND IN SPA FILE AND REFLECTION PRACTICAL TO Mr GUI ASAP. It's really important and as you can see. he's starting to get really unhappy with our class.

So let's at least buck up and hand in those assignments asap? Oh yea, and those people that needs to do REFLECTION FOR HOLIDAY HW, if you have not done so, pls do it ASAP, K?

Yo guys, class gathering is getting closer with each passing day. Are you excited?

Anw, just a confirmed details of the event.

It will be at Downtown East (Pasir Ris), 1 & 2 June. There will be exciting games, escape themepark/wild wild wet, BBQ, board games, night PT, late night movie screening etc...

There are plenty of other activities too!

You could come at 3pm. And BBQ would most probably start after 5pm.

& most importantly, the winner of our games will receive a mysterious prize! Hmm...

Anw, just take note, holidays have started, remember to do regular revisions and please complete your holiday assignments before the deadline.

For Biology, those who don't know how to create a blog, I suggest you use Blogger as they have step-by-step guide.

We will be taking a free shuttle bus which arrives at 8.30am.
The bus ride would take not more than 5 min to reach Downtown East.
Alternatively, you could walk to downtown east, which would take about 10 min.

The chalet will be 2 Days, 1 Night.

Exams are coming in full swing. Hopefully you guys done enough preparations ya?

CE Slides & Exam Matters

Dear All,

I have yet to receive the necessary slides from all the groups. This is a very serious issue on the lack of responsibility to take ownership of the tasks given to you at least 3 weeks ago. If you do not have the items necessary, you should have taken the initiative to obtain the materials from friends or even GOOGLE online for answers and details on the people discussed in class.

Firstly, the names and questions were already provided to you in the CE lesson conducted AGES ago.

Secondly, this should not be a last min task where you are still scrambling for ideas and materials to complete the slides since the deadline was given 2 weeks ago.

I understand the fact that most of you have been busy with SYF preparations, the constant conduct of weekly class tests, but that does not mean that you are not able to set aside just a couple of hours to complete this task. Please take a moment to ponder on this matter. For those of you who have read this message, please pass on the message to the rest of the class.

I am serious when it comes to meeting deadlines and I would like to stress again the importance of being responsible for the task at hand. This does not reflect too well on your attitude towards work.

For those who have to complete the assignment, send me the file by 4th May 09, 2359hrs.

p/s Best of Luck for your MYE exam preparations. Stress is not a new phenomenon in one's pursuit towards a better education. Take the adversities that you face in school as challenges that makes you stronger as a person. Take pride in the things you do, and you will develop to become a better individual.

Think positive, and never ever look down upon yourself as someone of lower status than others. Set your mind towards achieving YOUR personal targets. Different challenges lie ahead in your path towards better education and future career. You decide your fate, not the teachers, parents or the friends around you.

Haiyo, why this place so not alive one? LOL.

Okay, anw 3C, I know the exams are near & teachers are constantly giving us tests, moreover, we also have to study, revise & mug! haha.
But do try to take time once in awhile to come tag at the class blog yea?

I will upload the exam timetable some time this week, incase any of you lost it or what.

& remember to study hard for the upcoming tests & exams!

Hello 3C-ians!

Ben here (agn) LOL.
Anyways, the class camp flag is almost done, thanks to everyone! However, it still needs some finishing touches. So those non-bio students kindly paint the flag during the bio period on Tues. Thanks!

As for the campfire activities, we will be doing a 3C cheer, which will be done by the people who came up with this idea, dance item, cheerleading dance for girls & Hawaii dance for Jeric, Dean, Jiang Maan, Quan Qin, Yi Ying, Jasper, Ben, Sarayutt, Zi Zhong & Xuan Kai.

It will be done during our campfire, which is our last night there. So, please do participate enthusiastically! (:

Do note that everyone would have to try to know the cheer well, if not I would try to get a copy of the cheer for each group.

As for the list of events, on 9 March itself, everyone please have your breakfast before you leave for school, or pack it into your bag & eat it along the way to Kahang.
You will be required to wear your PE T-shirt when you report to school.
Do note that once you pass the malaysian customs, we will be switching bus. The last class to board the bus will get the points deducted. So, 3C, lets aim for getting the best class award & fufil our title of the "best class"! :D

I will distribute the class tee on the camp day itself. But if I can distribute earlier then it would be better. So, we will be wearing the class tee on the 2nd day, during the campfire. That is when we will be doing the campfire activities as well.

Other than that, here are some points to take note.

You will be able to wash & dry your clothes
There will be no water heater when you are bathing
It is complete wilderness, hence it is strongly encouraged that foodstuffs are not brought into the campsite
We will have to work together as a class to get the best class award!
We have to be enthusiastic!

Similarly, if you have any other questions or doubts, feel free to ask me (Ben) or Joey. We will answer your questions, otherwise, bring it up to Mdm Ernie.

The details of the workshop are as follows.

Event Details
1. Natural Products Research (1 day)
(Suitable for upper sec biology/chemistry students)
Date & Time: 18th Mar 2009 (Wed), 9am – 4pm
Course Fees: $70 per student

During the annual East Zone A*STAR Science Fair organised by our centre, the judges observed that many student chose to carry out research involving natural products and bacteria testing. This natural products workshop for students is thus designed to give students hands-on training in some of the experimental skills involved in natural products research. They can then apply sound experimental techniques when embarking on meaningful and significant research in this area.

*Note: those interested in this workshop should not be involved in the Chemistry workshop mentioned by Mdm Tay. If they are already in the Chem workshop, then they have to opt out if they are interested in this workshop.

Hello all 3C-ians!

I'm currently here to update all of you on the KOREF Camp coming up in March.

First, the rubber shoes which majority of you wants to purchase,
do place an order with Joey ASAP.
Because the KOREF people will be here on Friday, 27 February 2009.
Also, Do be reminded to bring SGD$8.00 when you place your orders.

CLASS FLAG DESIGN
Next, we have to design our class flag. Sounds boring yeah?
But no choice, We have to come up with a design.
We have not come up with a theme yet. So all you can Come up with any ideas that come to your mind!
We will have to finalise our ideas latest by Tuesday [24 February 2009 ]
We will be discussing the various ideas all of you have during CCT or CE periods.
And we will start working on it ASAP.
The colour of the flag is white, Which means, there are no colour restrictions.
The design should be contain 3C, as it serves as a class identity.
The deadline for the flag is on 3rd March 2009.
I know we will be having our Common Tests for the next 2 weeks.
But please do understand that this flag design is equally important.

*Non-bio students, it is highly possible that we will need all of you to stay back on Thursday to complete the class flag.

CAMPFIRE PERFORMANCE
Of course, for every camp that all of you go, a campfire is definitely a must-have!
Therefore, we have to come up with a campfire performance.
It could be a dance,skit,cheer or anything which is feasible for everyone in the class to do! (:
Which means, everyone would be able to play a part in the performance.
We will also be discussing this during our CCT and CE periods.
Feel free to come up with any ideas during our discussions (:

Alright, some final things to take note. Please pay $1.50 to Ong Zhen for February's class fund by this FRIDAY 13 Feb. Also, do take note that Tuesday's final period is swapped with Friday's final period. Meaning, Tues, 1530-1605 is Physics, whereas Fri, 1235-1310 is HCL.

Hey hey! So how was the visit to the parliament house today? It was sort of fun aye?
At least it was a good exposure; good learning experience. & at least you got to see some of the ministers real life! LOL
& also how the parliament functions.
